Kinsley is a small village, in Pontefract, West Yorkshire; it was built as a pit village to provide housing for miners working at nearby pits; its main claim to fame is that it has one of the safest Greyhound racing surfaces in the country, with a 10" minimum depth of clay based sand and well cambered bends; the track is situated south east of Wakefield a few miles from the Stately House and Grounds of Nostell Priory.
